My Review of Sisley Paris Phyto-Lip Balm Review and Swatches
I was very excited to try these new lip balms from Sisley because I am literally obsessed with their Sisley Phyto-Rouge Shine lip colour (review and swatches here, my favourite is shade 10!) and I think Sisley create the most beautiful textures.
I was expecting the texture of the Sisley Paris Phyto-Lip Balm to be good, however, I have to say, it completed exceeded my expectations. They literally feel divine. The blend feels instantly cushioning and smoothing, and when I say my lips were dry before I tested this formula, they were DRY!
How quickly this balm works to hydrate and moisturise the lips is impressive. By the next day, the surface of the lips was much smoother and everything just felt more comfortable.
Also, they look great on the lips. The texture gives a soft dewy shine that looks healthy and plumped without being too shiny. This means that the clear one makes a brilliant base for makeup and they also combine really nicely with lip liner if you want a more defined look.
I really like Cloud (the clear shade) on top of softly lined lips – my current go to is the Lisa Eldridge Sculpt and Shade Lip Pencil (swatches via the link).
Number 2, Pink Glow is super pretty because it reacts with the pH of your lips so you get a custom shade that’s really healthy, youthful and dewy. And it’s the perfect shade to apply without a mirror.
Number 3, Crush is a really interesting rosewood kind of the shade and the most lipstick-y of the three. I really love this one and I think it offers up something a bit different in the tinted lip balms category.
Sisley Paris describe the Crush shade by saying it is for lips that appear to be painted in watercolour. Sisley always have these super overly-romantic descriptions but I kind of see what they mean. I think this one might actually be my favourite.
Also, the packaging is just gorgeous. They look just like my favourites the Phyto-Rouge Shine and are also refillable.
If you are looking for something similar that also comes in a corally shade, check out another tinted balm favourite of mine, the Cle de Peau Lip Glorifier.
