Spooky, Scary Skeletons ๐Ÿ’€ Nail Art

ย Partial press sampleย

Since I donโ€™t really purchase nail polish anymore, I try to use older colors that I did purchase. This manicure includes two colors that I absolutely adore. This green was made fun of when it came out and I knew I had to have it because it is so funky. I love nail art that isnโ€™t so obvious. This is a look that was just so fun for me. I did not have high hopes for how it would turn out, but I absolutely loved it in the end.

So I had several manicures on Pinterest with crescent moon designs. I also had a few with these fun skeleton nails. So Iโ€™m not really sure who created this look and since I combined multiple manicures, it is really hard to pin down the actual inspiration of this manicure. I love the idea of dusty, muted cremes. Using creme polish for nail art is probably my favorite and I canโ€™t even begin to tell you how many compliments I got on these nails.ย

Here are the colors. So simple! I also love pulling out old colors.ย

  • Orange: OPI Itโ€™s a Piazza Cake
  • Green: OPI This isnโ€™t Greenlandย
  • Beige: Morgan Taylor Sheโ€™s a Naturalย
  • Black: Stella Chroma New Moon

I really thought I would mess up the skeleton to the point that it would not even look like a skeleton at all. I as surprised that as I drew it out, it really did come together. I didnโ€™t leave quite enough space for Mr. Skeletonโ€™s hands, but you can still get the idea of it. I am pretty obsessed with how these came out and that they didnโ€™t take that long. For reference, I put the green on my thumb.

I actually wore this one shiny for a few days, but felt that ultimately, having matte topcoat on would make this much spookier.
