Aaron left The Bachelorette Season 21 and eliminated himself in week three after he received a call from the U.S. Air Force with an opportunity to start flight school back home, according to Reality Steve.

Per the blogger, Aaron was faced with the choice to either resign from The Bachelorette or give up his chance of ever getting his pilot license. In June 2024, Aaron shared an Instagram photo of him at the gym in an army uniform. ‘Just be the bigger person’ I’m literally trying bro… all I’m sayin is the pump in combat boots goes too crazy 😮‍💨,” he captioned the post.

Aaron also hinted at his pilot career in an Instagram post ahead of The Bachelorette Season 21 premiere in which he told fans to “fasten” their seatbelts. “wow ILC of the lovERBoy starts tonight 🚀🍿🕺 Trying to collect my thoughts and stop and smell the roses (no pun intended) bcuz life has been such a whirlwind,” he captioned a carousel of photos of himself. “Never in a million years would I have thought I would be starting on a journey like this to go find love on a reality tv show called the Bachelorette.. but here we are.”

He continued, “I wanted to document my feels beforehand and be real with y’all because it’s easy to see a show and forget the reality that these are real people with real stories and emotions; so without further adieu, here are some moments right before flying out to let you know how your boy was feeling. I appreciate all the love and support 🥺 Lastly, fasten your seatbelts.. we might hit some turbulence along the way 😜”

Fans speculated that Aaron could be the next Bachelor in the comments of his army uniform post. “This man is about to be the next bachelor, if Jen doesn’t choose him lmao,” an Instagram user wrote. If Aaron was the Season 29 Bachelor, he would be the fourth pilot to be the lead of a Bachelor franchise show after Season 14 Bachelor Jake Pavelka, Season 24 Bachelor Peter Weber, and Season 19 Bachelorette Rachel Recchia

Aaron’s self-elimination on The Bachelorette Season 21 came a week after his feud with cast mate Devin Strader, a 28-year-old Freight Company Owner from Rosenberg, Texas. The drama started at Devin and Aaron’s group date with the rest of the cast, where Devin took Jenn away from the group to get ice cream.

The feud intensified at a party after the group date when Devin interrupted Aaron’s one-on-one time with Jenn with an ice cream cart. Aaron later took Jenn back and continued his conversation with her before Devin had the final steal of the night and sealed his victory with a kiss. Aaron confronted Devin at the cocktail party before the second rose ceremony, where he gave Devin a book about self-growth, a move Devin took as an insult. “I want you guys to all just love each other. Is that too much to ask?” Jenn asked Devin on the group date, who confirmed her ask was, in fact, too much.
